Ingredients
At EsthiFlor we are very proud of the top quality ingredients, thoughtfully chosen and sourced from reputable suppliers, growers and laboratory partners.

Algae
Sea plants are some of nature’s superpowers. Algae and kelp extracts are remarkably rich in both antioxidants and skin-nourishing minerals that work wonders for skin health.
Algaes are among the most bioavailable skincare ingredients. High concentrations of magnesium, calcium and potassium help nourish skin cells and promote skin resiliency. These seaweed powerhouses also contain trace elements such as zinc, iodine and copper which help combat chronically dry skin and increase elasticity.
EsthiFlor uses three different types of algaes in our formulations, including organic spirulina, chlorella and Atlantic kelp.

Allantoin
Allantoin is a naturally occurring chemical compound. The human body can make its own allantoin. It’s also derived from herbal plants like comfrey and chamomile.

Allantoin has soothing, moisturizing and healing properties. The leaves of comfrey plants have been used for centuries to heal minor injuries and swelling. The substance is a common ingredient found in many anti-aging serums today.
Allantoin is a natural humectant that helps keep skin hydrated. It is also a powerful anti-inflammatory, making it ideal for reducing redness and sensitivity.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a cactus plant that belongs to the Lilieacease family. Aloe leaves secrete a clear gel that can be applied topically to help heal wounds and soothe the skin.
Various studies have shown that Aloe Vera has several properties that are effective in treating a variety of skin conditions, including dry and dehydrated skin.
Gibberellin, a plant hormone in Aloe Vera stimulates the growth of new cells. It also allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring.

Amla (Indian Gooseberry
This little superberry is considered to be one of the most potent antioxidants. Amla has an ORAC value (the antioxidant capacity) of 261,500 per 100 grams. For comparison: that is 55x more than blueberries.
When researchers exposed skin cells to ultraviolet light, they discovered that an extract of the berry protected pro-collagen 1 (a precursor to collagen in the skin). In a study from 2011, the Amla extract also protected against harmful radiation caused by ultraviolet B radiation. The researchers concluded that the berry extract has “promising cosmeceutic benefits against sun aging.” Finally, in a wound healing study, the use of Amla extract improved wound healing

Beta Glucans
Beta glucans are polysaccharide sugars found in cell walls that are derived from various mushrooms, plants, algaes, yeasts or oats.
In skin care, beta glucans work twofold to soothe and calm irritated skin and as an effective anti-ager to firm and plump fine lines and wrinkles. Similar to their immune enhancing capabilities, beta glucans use these macrophages to speed up wound healing. They lower infection rate and significantly soothe the skin by reducing inflammation. Oat-derived beta glucans combat skin damage thanks to their anti-irritant properties.

Chamomile
Our German Chamomile CO2 Total Extract is produced from Chamomilla Recutita and is also known as Blue Chamomile CO2 Total Extract.
It contains both the volatile and non-volatile CO2 soluble components of Chamomilla recutita (synonymous with Matricaria recutita).
CO2 Totals are CO2 Supercritical Extracts that have been extracted at higher pressure than those classified as CO2 Selects. CO2 Totals are the closest representation of the natural plant ever achieved.
German Chamomile has a pleasant, fruity, floral chamomile aroma that is similar in aroma to that of the original botanical.
Chamomile is especially soothing, calming and supportive for dry, mature, damaged and problem skin types. Due to its Matricin content, it is also highly anti-inflammatory. Matricin, a sesquiterpene that is present within the CO2 extract but not the steam distilled oil, is reported to offer superior benefit to that of Chamazulene.

Chia Seed
Our premium quality Organic Chia Seed CO2 Total Extract is obtained by pressurized supercritical fluid extraction using carbon dioxide. This method effectively extracts all the beneficial lipophilic constituents present in the seeds. Unlike hexane and other solvent extraction processes, no trace of solvent remains in extracts produced by CO2 supercritical extraction methods.
Chia Seed CO2 Total Extract possesses an impressive nutrient profile that includes over 60% alpha-linolenic acid (an omega-3 essential fatty acid) and 15-21% linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid). It also contains tocopherols and sterols.
With its extraordinary composition of essential fatty acids and tocopherols, Chia Seed Extract is a remarkable ingredient for helping to address the concerns associated with the appearance of maturing skin and the challenges associated with a wide array of problematic skin care concerns. It is for delicate facial skin. It helps to soothe skin irritation, minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, does not clog the pores and is an excellent choice for all skin types.

French Green Clay
French Green Clay, also known as Montmorillonite or Illite Clay is considered by many as a healing clay widely used for its skin healing properties. When applied to the skin, it essentially absorbs toxins and poisons that get trapped in the skin. The clay originates from France and mined directly from the earth. French Green Clay is a 100% natural bio-organic material and contains a cornucopia of valuable elements. Its coloring can range from light green to dark green with little to no odor. It’s filled with minerals and has a shelf life of 4-5 years. It is sometimes called 'marine clay' due to the quarries being found in the ancient marine beds.

Gotu Kola
Centella asiatica (often just called centella) is rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids, and numerous potent phytochemicals. Extracts have been found to calm inflammation, speed wound healing, stimulate new cell growth, build collagen, and improve circulation.
The high concentration of unique triterpenoid compounds (also known as saponins) found in it is the reason behind this plant’s power.
Studies have shown of centella asiatica inhibited bacterial growth, fueled the growth of new skin cells and increased skin "tensile strength" and resilience.
